REGISTRATION FEE

Any foreign participants are not required to pay registration fee for the Forum as well as are cordially invited to the Reception on 12th November.

PAPER SUBMISSION

Each presentation time is scheduled for 20 minutes and 5 minutes discussion. Title and Abstract (less than 200 words) of the paper and Author's profile in doc or txt format should be sent to abstract@gupha.info not later than September 30th and also full paper should be sent to the above not later than October 15th.

ACCOMMODATION

As for the accommodation in Tokyo, the following is recommended as a base to stay in Tokyo which is located few minutes walk to the University of Tokyo.

STUDENT COMPETITON

Application is encouraged for any students all over the world who are interested in participating in the Global Student Competition for Design of Architecture for Health. It is also acceptable that the projects have already been completed at an accredited School of Architecture. Title and Abstract of the project less than 200 words and Applicant's profile in doc or txt format together with Drawings in pdf or jpg format less than 10 MB should be sent to competition@gupha.info not later than September 30th.

250,000 Japanese yen in cash (approximately 2,000 US$) will be awarded in Tokyo to selected students. They can also participate in GUPHA Forum and Reception on November 12th and Hospital Visits on November 13th for free of charge. Ceremony of announcing awards is planned at the Reception on November 12th.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The IHF (International Hospital Federation), which works closely with the UIA and WHO, is planning to hold an International Hospital Congress in Korea on Nov 6th-8th, 2007. In accordance to which, we planned to hold a GUPHA Forum in Tokyo on Nov 11th-13th, 2007 to thus form a Korea-Japan Hospital Week.

The GUPHA Forum in Tokyo will be followed by the International Symposium of Healthcare Engineering and Exhibition, HOSPEX 2007 which will be held on Nov 14th-16th in Tokyo Big Sight International Convention Center organized by HEAJ (Healthcare Engineering Association of Japan). On Wednesday Nov 14th, Mr. Luub Wessels, who is the Director of the UIA/PHG (International Union of Architect / Public Health Group) and also Senior Advisor to GUPHA, will make a keynote address in the HEAJ Symposium from 11:00am to 12:00am.

National Taipei University of Technology is planning to hold an International Symposium, November 19th - 20th, 2007 in Taipei, Taiwan
